Tuesday 7th April 2026 saw Scotland’s newest homelessness Village by Social Bite officially opened. Based on the proven Social Bite Village model, the approach combines high-quality housing with intensive, personalised support and a strong sense of community.

George Clooney’s recent return to Scotland to support Social Bite at the Gleneagles Gala and the British Business Awards wasn’t just a “pinch us” moment, it was a real boost for the movement to end homelessness.
We're thrilled to have received two awards that recognise our long-term collaboration with Mitchells & Butlers, which has grown from a simple pay-it-forward campaign to a UK-wide movement.
We’re still buzzing: World Artist of the Year winner, Sacha Jafri, created and donated a unique Social Bite-specific painting. It’s an incredible gesture, and we’re honoured he chose to back our work in such a meaningful way.
Monday 29th June 2026 saw the original Village by Social Bite officially launched after relocating a mile down the road to the Granton Waterfront. The move serves as a proof-of-concept of the village model, which encourages the use of unused, derelict land as a cost-effective solution to addressing the UK housing crisis.
